GRAMMAR
* COMPLETE PREDICATES.- The predicate of the sentence tells what the subject does or is. All the words in the predicate make up the complete predicate. A complete predicate can be one verb or it can include descriptive words.
EXAMPLE: Mr. Sander's work takes him away from home.
* The simple predicate, or main verb of each sentence is underlined. Write the complete predicate.
1.- My mother traveled to Monterrey to visit my brother. _________________________________________________________________
2.- My father's plane arrived at 8:00 A.M. _________________________________________________________________
3.- My brother drove his car to the airport. _________________________________________________________________
4.- The children watched the movie with excitement. _________________________________________________________________
5.- My sisters are far away from home. _________________________________________________________________
